Strategic Wisdom is a serious forum for the analysis of politics, economics, and national security. We are dedicated to publishing sharp, insightful commentary from a diverse community of thinkers. We welcome contributions from established experts, emerging analysts, policymakers, military professionals, and serious students of these disciplines.

Our platform is for those who wish to engage in substantive, evidence-based debate. If you have a compelling argument that can withstand rigorous scrutiny, we invite you to submit it for consideration.

What We Publish

We seek original, analytical articles with a clear and defensible thesis. While our primary word count is between 800 and 1,500 words for standard online commentary, we will consider long-form essays up to a maximum of 3,500 words.

Author Guidelines & Standards

To be considered for publication, all submissions must meet the following standards:

Clarity and Conciseness: Articles must be well-structured and powerfully argued. Wordiness will lead to rejection. Every sentence should serve a purpose.
Proofreading: Submissions must be thoroughly proofread for spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors. Work requiring significant copy-editing will not be accepted.
Style: All submissions must adhere to The Associated Press (AP) Stylebook.
Content Policy: We do not publish content that includes blasphemy or profanity. Furthermore, Strategic Wisdom does not engage in electioneering; articles that endorse or oppose any candidate for public office will be rejected. Our focus is on policy and strategy, not partisan campaigning.

Publication Policies & Author Agreement

By submitting an article to Strategic Wisdom, you, the author, agree to the following legally binding terms:

Caveat Scriptor ("Let the Writer Beware"): You are solely and entirely responsible for the factual accuracy, citations, and opinions expressed in your article. You assume all liability for your work. Strategic Wisdom and its editors serve as a publisher, not a fact-checking service or legal shield. You warrant that your work is original and does not infringe on any copyright.
Takedown Policy: Once an article is published, it becomes a permanent part of our archive. It will not be taken down or edited post-publication unless we are compelled to do so by a court order under United States law. This policy is firm and non-negotiable.
Republication Rights: You retain the right to republish your article on your own personal blog or newsletter. When you do so, you must include the following attribution line at the top of your article: "First published in Strategic Wisdom."

How to Submit Your Article

To submit an article, please follow these instructions precisely:

Email Your Submission: Send all materials to: submissions@strategicwisdom.org
Format Your Subject Line: Use the following format: SUBMISSION: [Your Article Title] - [Your Full Name]
Attach Your Article: Attach your completed article as a Microsoft Word (.docx) file.
Include Your Bio and Profile: In the body of your email, please provide:
- A brief author biography (2-4 sentences).
- If you are on Substack, a direct link to your Substack profile (format: https://substack.com/@username).

The Review Process

Our editorial team will review every submission that follows these guidelines. We will contact you within three business days if we are interested in publishing your article. Due to the volume of submissions, we are unable to respond to every author. If you do not hear from us within that timeframe, you are free to submit your work elsewhere.
