1. Introduction and Agreement to Terms

Welcome to Strategic Wisdom (the “Publication”), a blog dedicated to the serious analysis of politics, economics, national security, and grand strategy. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of our content, website, newsletters, comments sections, and any other services we provide (collectively, the “Services”).

By accessing, reading, subscribing to, commenting on, or submitting content to Strategic Wisdom, you agree to be bound by these Terms in their entirety. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Services.

2. Community and Content Guidelines

• For All Users (including Commenters): All users are expected to contribute to a serious and respectful forum. By using our Services, you agree not to post any content that contains profanity, blasphemy, or is otherwise obscene, hateful, or discriminatory. Harassment, personal attacks, or threats against authors, the editor, or other users are strictly prohibited. Spam will be deleted, and users who post it may be blocked.

• For Commenters: Commenters are free to express their own views, including support for or opposition to political candidates, provided such comments do not violate any other rules of conduct.

• For Contributing Authors: Articles submitted by contributors must not engage in electioneering (i.e., expressly advocating for the election or defeat of a specific candidate). This policy does not apply to official editorials published by Strategic Wisdom itself.

We reserve the right to remove any user-generated content and to suspend or terminate access to our Services for any user who violates these rules, at our sole discretion.

3. Intellectual Property Rights

• Our Content: The Strategic Wisdom name, logo, and all content written by our editorial staff, as well as the design of the blog, are the property of Strategic Wisdom and its operator.

• Author Content: As outlined in our submission guidelines, contributing authors retain the copyright to their original work but grant Strategic Wisdom a perpetual license to publish and archive the work.

• User-Generated Content (Comments): You retain the copyright to your comments. By posting them, you grant Strategic Wisdom a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive license to display and distribute them in connection with the Services.

4. Special Terms for Contributing Authors

By submitting an article for publication, you agree to the following binding policies:

• Caveat Scriptor (“Let the Writer Beware”): You, the author, are solely responsible for the factual accuracy and opinions expressed in your article. You assume all liability for your work and warrant that it is original and does not infringe on any copyright or contain libelous statements.

• Permanent Archive Policy: Once an article is published, it becomes a permanent part of our archive. It will not be taken down or altered post-publication unless compelled by a court order under United States law. This policy is firm and non-negotiable.

5. Disclaimers

• Opinions Expressed: The views expressed in articles and comments are those of their respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the official position of Strategic Wisdom or its editor.

• "As Is" Service: This blog is provided on an "as is" basis. We make no warranties regarding the accuracy of content or the uninterrupted, error-free operation of the Services.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Strategic Wisdom and its owner/editor shall not be liable for any damages resulting from your use of the Services or from any content posted on the blog.

7. Dispute Resolution by Binding Arbitration

Please read the following section carefully as it requires you to arbitrate certain disputes and claims with Strategic Wisdom and limits the manner in which you can seek relief from us.

• Agreement to Arbitrate: You and Strategic Wisdom agree that any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Services will be resolved by final and binding arbitration, rather than in court.

• Arbitration Procedure: The arbitration will be administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Consumer Arbitration Rules. The arbitration will be held in the United States county where you live or work, or any other location we agree to.

• Waiver of Jury Trial: By agreeing to these terms, you are waiving your right to a jury trial.

• Waiver of Class Actions: You agree to bring any dispute in your individual capacity only, not as a plaintiff or class member in any purported class or representative proceeding.

• Exceptions: As exceptions to this arbitration agreement, both you and Strategic Wisdom retain the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in a court of competent jurisdiction to prevent the actual or threatened infringement of a party's copyrights or other intellectual property rights.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

9. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will post the most current version on this page. By continuing to use the Services after changes become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms.
